Routine 1-day rust nightly toolchain bump (nightly-2026-08-27 → nightly-2026-08-28), single-line diff in rust-toolchain.toml. No RELEASES.md entries between these two dates and nothing else in the repo depends on toolchain-specific behavior beyond rustfmt/clippy/rust-src components, which are unaffected. CI checks that have completed are green (osv-scanner, gitleaks, zizmor, snyk, PR title lint); Test & Build and a few security jobs were still in progress at review time but nothing had failed. No blocking concerns.

Renovate extended the nightly bump to nightly-2026-08-27 → nightly-2026-08-29 (still a one-line diff in rust-toolchain.toml). Nightly builds don't carry per-date RELEASES.md entries, and the repo only depends on the declared components (rustfmt, clippy, rust-src), which are unaffected by a 2-day nightly shift. CI: all completed checks are green (osv-scanner, gitleaks, zizmor, snyk, quality); Test & Build and opengrep are still in progress with no failures so far. No blocking concerns.

Renovate advanced the nightly pin again: nightly-2026-08-29 → nightly-2026-08-31, still a single-line diff in rust-toolchain.toml. Nightly Rust builds don't carry per-date RELEASES.md entries, and the repo's toolchain usage is limited to the declared components (rustfmt, clippy, rust-src), which a 2-day nightly shift doesn't affect. CI: all completed checks are green (osv-scanner, gitleaks, zizmor, snyk); Test & Build and a couple of security jobs were still in progress at review time with no failures so far. No blocking concerns.

Renovate advanced the nightly pin one more day: nightly-2026-09-05 → nightly-2026-09-06, still a single-line diff in rust-toolchain.toml. Nightly Rust doesn't carry per-date RELEASES.md entries, and the repo's toolchain usage is limited to the declared components (rustfmt, clippy, rust-src), unaffected by a 1-day shift. CI is green (Test & Build, Quality, osv-scanner, gitleaks, zizmor, snyk, opengrep); renovate/stability-days status also passes. No blocking concerns.

Nightly pin advances one more day: nightly-2026-09-11 → nightly-2026-09-12, one-line diff in rust-toolchain.toml. Checked upstream RELEASES.md: nothing dated for this window beyond the 1.98.1 point release (vtable miscompilation fix, unrelated); the only tooling change of note recently is rustfmt now discovering cfg_select! module files, which this repo doesn't use. Repo's toolchain usage stays limited to the declared components (rustfmt, clippy, rust-src), unaffected by the shift.
CI: completed checks are green (osv-scanner, gitleaks, snyk); Test & Build, Quality, zizmor and opengrep are still in progress with no failures so far. No blocking concerns.
